The house scene has been lucky enough to have now captured the most forward thinking producer of our time. Hauswerks is today where most producers dream to be, through nothing other than insane talent, hard work and sheer dedication he has worked alongside his favourite artists and shown them and us that he is a talent to be reckoned with!
Taking things back… Colin was inspired by his good friend to start laying down his own beats, after getting caught up in the music addiction in 2000 he turned all his attentions to focus intently on music. During his 4 years at music collage he got stuck into production work and has never looked back.Colin has created an instantly recognisable sound unique to any remix or original track his magic touches. Having an avid interest in many genres and also producing many styles has kept his imagination fresh and is a constant feeding ground for inspiration thus never allowing for writers block.From a teccy, dirty, groovy sound fuelled with an abundance of energy to grinding electro monsters with creative use of effects and original structure, you cannot fail to recognise his trademark sound, tight percussion, funky techno rhythms and dirty electro riffs! The secret to Hauswerks success however is not only held within his incredible production skills. This young man certainly has the ability to take control of any dance-floor and delivers a superb dj performance winning not only the hearts of the UK clubbers but enticing the globe with his infectious sound as far a field as Canada, Australia and Japan with more global tours in the pipeline.His style could be described as a fusion of funky-techno and electro bringing you the best of both into one sound. Captivated by the sounds pioneered by the likes of Steve Angello, Cirez D and Sebastian Ingrosso, Hauswerks started work on this style adding his own distinct flavour and unique sound.An extra special treat from our boy is his brand new project ‘Swampwerks’ a collaboration between a hip hop band called swampfoot and himself, expect some seriously awesome dirty electro hip hop!As well as already having releases out on Toxik & Salacious Records and forthcoming releases on labels such as UMM & Jason Herd’s Jfunk Label he is also engineering for Djs such as Filthy Rich, Hauswerks remix of Rich’s ‘It’s like that’ received great comments in Mixmag and his track ‘Don’t Stop’ is receiving support from Fergie after a recent debut on Radio 1. Another exciting collaboration with Kissdafunks Rob Tissera is in the making so keep your eyes well and truly peeled for these stars creation, its set to be a killer! Last but not least the Gaz James & Hausewerks EP is out on Toxik in August with full support from Unique PR and Distribution. (KissdaFunk), Gaz James (Toxik A&R) and a string of solo releases planned Hauswerks is sure to be a household name! Watch this space.....its just the beginning.......
